What I Offer...

I offer facilitation, training, and consulting in groups or one-on-one and work in English and Spanish. When applicable, I work across both languages simultaneously to ensure collective learning among diverse groups. My areas of specialization are below.

People-centered Operations: I work with organizations to dive deeply into your existing policies and practices, think broadly and listen directly to the people impacted by these policies and practices. From there, we develop operational policies and practices that reflect your values and the value of equity. Examples include: developing implementation plans for new tax laws, overhauls of employee handbooks, improving hiring and recruitment practices, and helping shift your organizational culture.

Organizational Transitions: Organizations and people alike are always in transition. I offer an outside perspective of your current organizational life cycle stage and opportunities for the future. We establish priorities and tactical next steps. Examples include: shifting programmatic strategies, addressing perpetual staffing issues, and executive succession planning.

Capacity Building: Do you feel like you have a lot of projects on “the back-burner” because you don’t have the capacity you need to move them forward? Capacity can be time, skills, staffing, money, training, data tools or technology, and more. I work with organizations to identify top priorities, and what capacity they need to move them forward. I then offer that directly, or train staff to expand their capacities. Examples include: training new leaders in nonprofit management, training employers in labor & nonprofit laws, and database overhauls.

Equity-centric fundraising: From the nuts and bolts of daily fundraising or grant writing to the bigger picture strategy and ways of engaging with funders, together, we look at what’s currently working, what’s not, and steps to take to improve outcomes. Examples include: direct fundraising support, training on fundraising methods rooted in values of anti-racism and equity, writing appeal letters or grants, preparing and planning for a capital campaign, and working one-to-one with staff to develop methods that honor the dignity and health of fundraising staff.

Financial Management + Strategy: Finance and money are often topics managed by only a few at the “top” of an organizational hierarchy. Siloed finances can make it harder for teams to holistically implement their goals, reduce accountability, and generate inefficiencies. I work with you to build efficiency and ease in your financial flow. I also train non-finance staff or those newly in roles with financial responsibilities so that they can succeed and see how the money fits into a larger organizational picture. Examples include building out cash-flow models, team-wide finance trainings, Exec Director and Development Director coaching, and teaching methods and tools to budget, anticipate and track spending and revenue.

My fees range depending on an organization's size, budget, and project scope.
